Welcome to "Gilbert Lights" The lights are now off , thank you to all that enjoyed the 2007 light display as it motivates us to add to the display as the years pass. We will be up again in Dec 2008. ![]() Here you will find videos & pictures of our annual Animated Musical Christmas light display as well as tips to how it's all possible. There are links to other great displays, vendors and forums found here as well. Here's how it works, We broadcast the music on a low power FM transmitter. Simply drive up to the display and tune you car stereo to 88.5 FM and enjoy. New 2007 display videos are now up on the site, visit our videos page to watch online. The question I get asked the most is: " Who did that for you?" Some find it hard to believe that the average homeowner can do this, well you can. Browse this site to see how we did it and get started yourself if you are interested with the Light-O-Rama controllers. Please keep in mind that the controllers do not come pre programmed. Also a standard computer or a special device made by Light-O-Rama called a MP3 Director is required to run a show like this. The programming is very time consuming but yet very user friendly. On average one song takes me 20-60 hours of programming. A Hobby FM Transmitter is also used to broadcast the music to the cars. There are companys that can do this for you but our display is 100% homegrown. Gilbert Lights display designer/programmer: Homeowner - Mike Sigmond.
